A few blocks away from the President's Malacañan palace, is a mansion built over a century ago that now serves as a restaurant, and literally serving customers mouth watering delicacies. The place is La Cocina de Tita Moning, a reservations-only dining spot in the heart of Manila. It used to be the home of the late Dr. Alejandro Roces Legarda and his wife Ramona, fondly known to many as Moning. The mansion is owned by the powerful Legarda clan of Manila. Just a bit of trivia. They also have the original La Inocencia by Felix Ressureccion Hidalgo, an original work of art by national hero Juan Luna, and dozens of other masterpieces. At La Cocina de Tita Moning, you'll be warped in a completely different environment. They wanted to keep everything genuine they don't even have electric fans so as not to ruin house traditions as well as the maintain the overall theme. The mansion is truly a 3-in-1 destination. Restaurant, museum and an art gallery in one. What more could you ask for? Another serving of Gambas al ajillo or paella valenciana, perhaps? You can talk about...
